Cathedral Homes has recently completed work on a magnificent new family residence in the heart of the Chilterns. The New England style home incorporates a wealth of high specification features from a contemporary fitted kitchen and en-suite bathrooms to underfloor heating and video entry. The Cupa Natural Slate specified for the roofing was the natural choice for this prestigious project and matched the quality of its architecture. Over 20,000 Cupa 12 slates were used to complete the roof of the main house, garage and balcony overhangs. Dave Roberts of Cathedral Homes commented, “We chose Cupa for this project as their slates are always of a consistent quality and very easy to work with. The natural beauty of the slate complements the new building perfectly.” The design and specification of all Cathedral Homes properties utilises traditional materials and workmanship combined with the latest developments in modern technology and styling. Cupa 12 is a grey slate with a smooth matt surface, which is particularly noted for its exceptional consistency of thickness and surface appearance, and is split to an average thickness of 5–6mm. It is available in a variety of formats including half moon, square and rectangular. Cupa Natural Slate is extracted from Cupa’s own quarries and is hand-split by skilled craftsmen. CUPA’s experience and the quality of its slate are recognised by the fact that around one in every four of the natural roofing slates used worldwide is a CUPA slate. A 40-year guarantee is offered to all customers as a testament to the quality of the slate and the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
