Latrobe University's new ITC Centre recently selected Hi-Light to provide a range of Crimsafe Window Grilles and Electronically Operated Roller Shutters to help with security for their Windows, doorways and all the glass areas at their offices on the corner of Edwards Road and Garsed Street in Bendigo. This area has been zoned as part of a Heritage precinct and must remain in its original state and cannot be altered in appearance at all creating quite a challenge for Hi-Light. Our brief was to secure all windows and doorways while not actually altering the building visually at all. You may also notice that most windows are curved on the top which only added to our problem.

Doorways needed to be accessible day and night but also had to allow staff to leave the building at any time and never run the risk of being locked into the building. The picture on the right shows the original building before we were let loose and perhaps gives you some idea of the challenges as most windows are very high up and involved the use of Cherry Pickers and Scissor Lifts.
